Support Workers (Learning Disability)

Term time only
 
The role includes caring for all aspects of the student’s daily life.

This role is either full time or part time, shift patterns can be discussed and are covering the waking day of our students 7am till 9.30pm. Shifts are 8 hours with half an hour unpaid break. Tasks will include personal care, homemaking, meal time support, leisure activities, college support and work placements. 

Our main requirement is your motivation and interest to become part of our vibrant college and community. We strongly value people who can offer warm authentic support to individuals with learning disabilities. Your willingness to participate in the trainings offered is essential.

Hourly rate £9.88 rising to £10.15 following successful completion of probation and accreditation of care certificate (approx. 6 months to complete)

Team Leaders (Social Care)

Term time only

The role includes caring for all aspects of the student’s daily life. It is a full time position, 37.5 hours as 8 hour shifts 5 days per week. 

The Team leader will  manage the day to day running of the college household with responsibility for the wellbeing of students and guiding colleagues in their work. Tasks also include personal care, homemaking, meal time support, leisure activities, college support and work placements. 

Level 3 in social care is desirable but not essential. Experience working with people with learning disabilities is essential.

Hourly rate £11.71 to £14.05 depending on prior experience and training.

Functional Skills Tutor

We are seeking an experienced, qualified tutor from September 2021 to support mathematics, English, ICT and teaching across the College.

The key areas of activity are to:
• support the learning of individual students in Mathematics, English between pre-entry and Level 2;
• conduct initial and diagnostic assessment in Mathematics and English;
• support other tutors in developing and using embedded learning aims in Mathematics and English;
• support students and tutors in using ICT to enhance learning and independence skills.

The post is 3/ 5 days per week to commence September 2021. 41 weeks per year 
Salary range: £27,213- to £ £32,476 based on experience and qualifications to be discussed at interview

Homemaker / House co-ordinator

We are looking for enthusiastic and committed people who would like to join one of our lively households to life-share with students and co-workers, look after the well-being and development of our students and take part in a shared cultural and spiritual life within the community. We look forward to meeting people who would like to take on the task of Homemaker / House co-ordinator

To start as soon as possible.

Preferred qualification and experience are NVQ Level 2 or 3 (or equivalent) in Health and Social Care and/or Curative Education Seminar; or Kate Roth Seminar; and have Camphill experience and interest in the anthroposophic approach.
