Our current fundraising aim is to raise the money required to carry out the necessary extension and refurbishment work at Pond House to create a home which will accommodate six supported Cohousing members and a co-worker family, a short distance from our main site, in an ideal location in the village of Wadhurst and within very close proximity to all local amenities.

ambitious fundraising target for this whole project is £612,154. We have raised 94% of this
already, securing funding from a range of well-respected trusts and
foundations, local community fundraising initiatives, several companies and many
of our own internal fundraising events.
We need your help to meet our target, so we can bring all aspects and details of the property up to the required excellent standard and fit for purpose to enable the supported cohousers to move in during spring 2022. We want to equip and fit out the house appropriately, improve access to the building and landscape the grounds.
The money raised will enable Pond House to be extended, renovated, refurbished and kitted out for six young adults to live there. This pioneering new model of provision, called cohousing, offers young people with learning disabilities supported, independent living, outside The Mount’s main campus but within walking distance to it and most importantly within just a 5 minute stroll into the heart of Wadhurst. Two of the cohousers are proud to tell you why Pond House is so important to them in the video clip. See the cohousing pages to find out more.
Please contact the fundraising team if you are able to make a contribution to this very worthwhile cause. All donations, large or small, will go towards helping us reach our goal.
