  • AS OF 15TH NOVEMBER 2024, WE ARE UNABLE TO CONSIDER ANY FURTHER APPLICATIONS FROM THE CONTINENT OF AFRICA DUE TO THE EXTREMELY HIGH VOLUME OF AFRICAN APPLICATIONS WE HAVE ALREADY RECEIVED.

  • Your application will be acknowledged when you submit your application but we receive large numbers of applications and so we will not contact you again unless you have been selected for the next stage.

  • THE APPLICATION FORM WILL ONLY BE AVAILABLE FROM EARLY NOVEMBER UNTIL EARLY JANUARY 2025 OR UNTIL WE HAVE ACCEPTED OUR MAXIMUM NUMBER OF VOLUNTEERS.  WE THEREFORE RECOMMEND YOU APPLY AS EARLY AS POSSIBLE.

The Mount Camphill Community is not accepting applications from the African Continent due to the extremely high volume of African Applications we have already received.*
I am not able to bring dependants (family) with me if my application is successful.*
The maximum stay allowed on a Charity Worker Visa is 12 months and cannot be extended. You cannot seek work in the UK during your stay and you are not allowed to remain in the UK after your visa expires.*
If I am accepted as a volunteer I will need to pay upfront for my all visa application costs, the Immigration Health Surcharge and travel to The Mount. (These costs will be refunded to me in equal instalments over my stay at The Mount but if I leave my volunteer post early I will not be refunded any outstanding amounts except in exceptional circumstances)*
If my visa application is unsuccessful I will only be refunded the Health Surcharge fee by the UK Home Office (which can take several weeks to come through) , and not any other visa application costs.*

We will need to get two references for your application.  Please provide us with the full names, addresses, telephone numbers and e-mail addresses of your two nominated referees.  These must be from your current or most recent employer, teachers, tutors, community leaders or Church or youth group leaders.  They must not be close friends or members of your own family.  Your chosen referees must have known you for at least two years.   We are obliged by UK law to send out our reference forms directly from The Mount to your two referees.  The referees will need to complete and return the forms as soon as possible to ensure that we can process your application quickly.
